We were asked to fully sand and stain this beautiful wooden floor in Buckinghamshire. When we arrived, the floor was well-cared for. There were general signs of usage but our client wanted to make a bold statement.
They had decided that they wanted to apply a very dark wood finish to their existing wood floor. They felt as though the original look of the floor was dated and wanted to bring a unique statement for the room.
All old surface coatings were removed from the original floor. It was then fully sanded to take away the damaged and worn surface. This process demands an understanding of how best to use the machinery and which machinery can provide the best results.
The sanding process needs to be seamless as preparation and experience in this part of the process enables a superior end finish. Areas that are not sanded in the correct way will show up instantly once the surface finish is applied.
Wood finishes are incredible; they can offer a dramatic change in appearance and will fully protect your newly sanded floor. Our dust free floor sanding service enables us to monitor the sanding process while it is happening and ensures that our clients experience minimal disruption.
